How to find supportive business besties who value collaboration over competition to help you grow your business

BADASSERY MAGAZINE hosts a Female Entrepreneur Business Empowerment & Community Building event, with a Whole Lot of Glitter!

Badassery Magazine is not just another women’s magazine. It is a revolutionary concept that combines an inspiring and supportive methodology for prosperous female entrepreneurship with the real-time value of global community building and networking.

On August 24th, Badassery Magazine Founders and visionaries Samantha Parker and Kathy Rasmussen took that mindset and rolled out the ultimate glitter carpet for night #2 of their Los Angeles take-over! Their champagne & summer vibes party was in celebration of the launch of their new masterminded book/workbook for female entrepreneurs and boss babes; titled Badassery Style Community: A Step-By-Step Guide to Party Planning Your Way to an Ultra-Engaged Community.

Held at Innerspace art gallery in DTLA, the guest list overflowed and reached full capacity before the night was through. Sam and Kathy reported that the ladies invested in the Badassery vision showed up ready to mingle, network and learn how to collaborate to take their passion and business to the next level as a community.

As the Queens and Goddesses of the female entrepreneurial world walked through the entrance doors they were greeted and given a Badassery Style Community book. The first 50 women to arrive received an inspiring swag bag for conscious business owners, mothers, and community visionaries. The swag bag included a Sacred Lotus Yoni Steam pouch of organic medicinal herbs to restore balance to our feminine systems without pharmaceutical drugs or surgery. Desert Daisy Jewelry provided a pocket-size crystal and discount code for their online store. Samantha and Kathy both rocked jewelry pieces from Desert Daisy’s amethyst collection, bringing new attention to this diamond in the desert. Other exclusive swag items included a Kollectin phone ring from Xandrea Garay, antiaging face serum by Gracie Stone Beauty, a gift certificate for graphic design work by, and Boss Babe notebooks provided by InspiHER SUCCESS.

Ladies waited in anticipation at the book launch to hear stories from guest speakers, including the well-loved Dr. Erin, Divine Mother, and CEO of Good Morning La La Land. In authentic festoon, Dr. Erin opened the night with a prayer of intention, sharing “It feels like we all have had a divine calling as women to do something more.” That message became the mission statement of the evening as 100 plus badass boss babes connected during the party.

After Dr. Erin spoke, women mingled at the sponsor booths. There was a distinct feng shui that guided women from the fully activated bar to the glitter tattoo station by We Adorn You LA, specializing in face painting, temporary tattoos, and hair crystals. We Adorn You LA owner Elise designed custom Badassery tattoo stencils for the occasion. The bar hosted an impressive and unique custom cocktail menu provided by Russian Size Vodka, along with Megadeth Beer and Baja United Group’s La Dama Tatuada imported Mexican Wine.

Delectable new paradigm treats were not to be left out of this glitzy evening! The organic, gluten free, non GMO, vegan, cupcakes provided by Katie’s Bakery took taste buds to the next level of delight and went perfect with the libations.

The ladies were feeling good and were ready to hear the next set of speakers. Chairs were set up while half the women sat down, and the other half stood around the bar as Femargent founder Cholee Spicer, featured on the cover of Badassery Mag’s July issue, talked about community and the launch of her Femargent phone app, an online forum designed for female entrepreneurs & professionals to connect, exchange services & collaborate. This ideal social networking and bartering tool for women around the world is now available at our fingertips – literally.

It was a night of sharing stories for women to relate and feel connected to our shared trials and triumphs. Debra Corley is the CEO of Tulifts, who makes inserts for sports bras, created to promote self-esteem for women in fitness. Debra shared her experience with the non-profit org Laura’s House, where she volunteers her time to victims of domestic violence. She shared her stories of obstacles and how she overcame her own experience with domestic violence to reclaim her life and rise to the top of her game.

Each diamond encrusted highlight of the evening shone in the eyes and smiles of all who attended. Samantha and Kathy brought the evening to a close by sharing their story of how Badassery Magazine came to be.

Their message? The Badassery mission is more than a (super engaging and purpose driven) magazine, it is a real, live community of women – and Badassery plans to provide the tools to empower our highest potential through inspiring events and gatherings like this one.

One of the pearls of wisdom to take away from the evening is that there is no “solopreneur”. You cannot make it all happen alone. It takes a team and it’s time to find yours.

A good place to start is joining the Badassery Mag Facebook group “We are Badassery”, birthed for women to have a place to go where the can share their experiences and have access to an engaged community to offer advice and support.

The evening concluded with dancing and music provided by femme powerhouse DJ La La Land … who knew exactly what to play to take the party from started to grooving. DJ La La Land has been making her presence known across Hollywood at hot and juicy premier clubs spinning hip hop, reggaeton and R&B hits, classics and underground vibes.

With three highly attended events under their skinny jeans from Chicago to California, who knows where this dynamic duo will end up for their next book launch take-over party. One thing is for sure. Wherever Samantha & Kathy appear, they will be backed by their Badassery Style Community of boss babes and female entrepreneurs, living proof that collaboration beats competition – even on the glitterfied carpet of the world stage.
