We believe that empowered women empower women.

These incredible community members are full of Badassery and we can’t wait for you to meet them.

When co-founders Samantha Parker and Kathy Rasmussen set out to create Badassery Magazine, they didn’t simply want to publish a magazine — they wanted to build an ultra-engaged community of women who live bold, passion-filled lives by embracing their true badassery.

Over 17,000 badasses strong, #WeAreBadassery has grown into the highly interactive community empowering and inspiring female entrepreneurs all over the globe.

MET Melann

MelAnn is still on the journey writing her fabulous bio. She embraces aging with her rebel yell; but instead of fighting it, she’s learning to dance with it. When she’s not dancing the Tango with storytelling or doing the Merengue with her tinsel hair, you can find MelAnn homeschooling her two kids, hacking wellness protocols, creating a feast in the kitchen, listening to music or her favorite podcasts, nose-deep in a book, writing her novel, getting excited about a new pen or Funko Pop, getting up the nerve to go live on Instagram, or traveling to New Mexico or Colorado to enjoy hiking surrounded by trees and mountains and streams. Also, truth be told, MelAnn is slowly coming to terms with the fact that she can’t dance outside of metaphors without causing serious bodily injury.

Meet Cyndee Jacobson

Non-Profit Founder, Cyndee Jacobson works in real estate helping people in need by organizing fundraisers, and offering rebates in the real estate process to those that serve our community. Being a child in the foster care system Cyndee grew up to become a foster parent, and put herself through nursing school. After 17 years in the medical field she decided to move into real estate. This background is what gave the inspiration to start a non-profit, giving to those that could use a helping hand.

Meet Rachel Slotnick

Rachel Slotnick is the owner and head coach of MindStrong Fitness. A lifelong love affair with health and fitness, combined with a desire to help others ignite their inner spark and unleash their best self, led her to found MindStrong, a company taking an inside out approach to health. Rachel came into the fitness world to spread truth. In an industry full of misleading marketing, she believes in teaching people how to live a healthy, sustainable lifestyle according to math and science, not marketing hype. This begins with training our minds-learning to be aware of and in control of our thoughts, understanding how our thoughts affect our feelings and actions and developing new habits, all of which set us up for true strength, inside and out.

MEET Melinda Kelly

Melinda J. Kelly is the author of Finding your Coach: Diving Deep Within. As vice president of a privately held publishing and business counseling firm, she thought the road of life was wide open and she would easily coast into her later years. With a professional life secured, personal time was happily spent serving on non-profit boards, serving on committees, mentoring college women, traveling the world and sharing her professional and personal skills with friends as they started up their own businesses.

The effortless ride to retirement was not to be the case. Encountering her own crisis of direction led her to a personal journey of questions. Finding Your Coach: Diving Deep Within is her result of that personal journey.

On this new quest, with the tables turned, the discovery and genuine affection for questions began to take hold of her thought process. On her way, she encountered thought leaders, cutting edge personalities, and experts in their field. With so many exceptional offerings, how was she not fully engaging? What was keeping her from the answers to the universe she not only wanted but was asking for?

Changing and challenging the narratives we have grown up with while appreciating some of the colloquialisms and wisdom of her elders, brought a new approach to the same issues of the ages. Her work is the beginning of a conversation on our fulfillment, success and happiness.

Melinda resides in Los Angeles, California, where she still volunteers. She is available for speaking and interviews.

I have a passion for seeing nonprofits and small businesses thrive! With over 20+ years experience in nonprofit and small business accounting I have the expertise to work with any nonprofit to achieve their mission or small businesses to be more profitable. My education along with my unique experience gives me a different insight into how to deliver exceptional value to those I serve. People work with me because they trust me and they know that the decisions I make for their organization are the ones I would make for my own. I don’t simply deliver a service, I really partner with those I work with to push them to be their best selves and achieve their goals.

But what things really light me up? Racing my car at Virginia International Raceway. I got the chance to do that and loved it. 120 mph in the pouring rain was an amazing experience. I could definitely race cars for a living and I love watching NHRA drag racing events. I’m an adrenaline junkie. It scares the shit out of me, which is why I do it. My husband and I went on our first date to a NHRA drag race. So, I have been married for 13 years and have a 26 year old son, a 10 year old daughter and a 2 year old granddaughter. I truly started over in life when I was in my 30’s but it wasn’t until my 40’s that I realized my dream of owning my own business. For me, there is nothing better!
